Snowboarding: A Complete Guide for Beginners
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Author: George Sullivan
Average review score:

Great book for grommits!
I gave this book to my ten year old nephew who indicated he could understand most of the content. He said, "I've worked out I'm a goofy foot by sliding on the kitchen floor!" The typeface is slightly enlarged for the younger reader and the book has an uncomplicated layout. It has 50 pages and 38 colour photographs. As well as instruction techniques there is an overview of equipment, what to wear, safety tips, and some of the culture which has become an integral part of this leisure activity. This book was stolen from Sydney City Library after only a short period in circulation.

Solar System Sos
Published in Hardcover by Accord Publishing Ltd (December, 1999)
Authors: Arlen Cohn and Don Sullivan
Average review score:

It's Out of This World (from a brother Space Cadet)
A wonderful story that tells about space, with humerous pictures of folks from each place. With the planets in trouble (the sun's on the move) they need a solution that all can approve. But working together you know that they'll find the solution's at hand if they just use their mind. You will learn about planets, you'll learn about heat, you'll learn that this marvelous book can't be beat. The author has written with humor and zest, of all that he's written, I can't say which one's best. But one thing's for certain, and this I can tell, you should go buy this book, cause my brother is swell.

Vicki Sullivan makes it her business to help people!
When you listen to these tapes, you will feel as if Vickie is sitting right there with you- be it in your car or getting some coffee together. You take away usable action-steps that immediately impact your bottom line. After using Vickie's methods, my speaking business at least doubled itself.

Spelology : Caves and the Cave Environment
Published in Paperback by National Speleological Society (June, 1997)
Authors: Nicholas Sullivan and George W. Moore
Average review score:

An intelligent, well-detailed introduction to caves
This book explains the geology and biology of caves, and how they have been used by human beings. The authors explain the details very well, drawing upon lots of interesting examples of caves from around the world and providing useful illustrations, charts, and photographs throughout the book.

In the section on limestone formations, they explain why most limestone caves have been formed by slowly moving water in a thin horizontal zone directly below the water table. They examine scallop formations, carbon dioxide content, calcite solubility and other factors. (Sandstone caves, sea caves and lava tubes are covered just briefly.)

There is some good coverage about water movement through caves, the growth of speleotherms, and how to date caves and cave deposits. There is a table provided that lists the secondary minerals found in limestone caves and the caves they can be found in. You will also learn about cave temperatures, relative humidity, and how different karst formations are related to the nature and distribution of the soil in different climatic zones.

There is also a section about the many cave dwelling micro-organisms, troglobites, and vertebrates. It explains their evolution, adaptation to the cave environment, and how they fit into the food chain.

States of Confusion: Maze Funbook (Troubadour Funbooks)
Published in Paperback by Price Stern Sloan Pub (May, 1997)
Author: Scott Sullivan
Average review score:

fun, educational, and challenging
States Of Confusion is not your average maze book in that it takes you from a major city to the capital or vice versa. Most maze books take you from the outside to the outside of a puzzle. Because the cities--in most cases--are located well within the state boundaries, this allows the artist to "wrap-around", that is, take you in circles to the answer. The patterns are different enough to be interesting. Unlike some maze books, the puzzles are challenging but not so difficult to the point where you give up or lose interest. And you actually might learn something in the process. I highly recommend this book for kids and adults of all ages.

A Sudden Death at the Norfolk Cafe
Published in Hardcover by St. Martin's Press (January, 1993)
Author: Winona Sullivan
Average review score:

"This is two stories in one with two mysterious endings."
This is a story of connected events which involves life and death situations in a world of blackmail, drugs and big money. In this corrupting world people begin to owe others but sometimes the price becomes their own life. When you get involved in criminal activities like these you pay a high price. The author Winona Sullivan has very well coincided two plots in one story. This mystery is a vow of chastity, a vow of sanctity and a vow of silence.

Sullivan (The Rock Creek Six)
Published in Paperback by Zebra Books (Mass Market) (October, 1901)
Author: Linda Devlin
Average review score:

SINfully Fun!
The stronger character in this novel is definitely the petite, tender-hearted heroine. The things Eden has to go through to finally win the heart of the man she loves!

I enjoy the humor... and will never look at "cleaning the tub" the same way again! I enjoyed the big brother, little sister relationship between Eden and Jed... as well as the conflict Sinclair "Sin" Sullivan faces when he falls for his friends baby sister!

It all makes for a great western romance and a super second installment to the Rock Creek Six series. I absolutely love these characters!

For those unfamiliar with the series, the books are: Reese, Sullivan, Rico, Jed, Nate, and Cash. And they are all fabulous!

This series is not to be missed
Even if like me, you are not a fan of books set in the West, this series is excellent. The characters come alive in these books. It is hard to believe that two authors could come up with such well connected stories. I can't wait for Rico by Lori Handeland to come out! The month just takes too long to end. :-)
I would suggest that you also pick up Reese by Lori Handeland. It is the first book of this series and a great introduction to these six great heroes.

Sullivan's Hollow
Published in Paperback by University Press of Mississippi (December, 1992)
Author: Chester Sullivan
Average review score:

Pure Anecdotal Goodness
This book reviews the history of a place that doesn't even exist to the rest of the world. I happen to live half an hour from the Hollow, and it fits the typical description of the "reputation" of the people that live there today.

If you like reading historical writings, I highly recommend this.

Sullivans Child (Special Edition, 1325)
Published in Paperback by Silhouette (May, 1900)
Author: Gail Link
Average review score:

Written with a flair and style unique among genre romance.
Gail Link's Sullivan's Child is a racy, contemporary romance filled with challenges of the heart. With a polished voice, Sullivan's Child is a sexy, snappy tale of love gone wrong and second chances. Learning to trust is painful, but not taking chances can cause even more pain. Caitlyn Kildare startles when she opens the mail to find an invitation to a reception to welcome Rory Sullivan to the Cedar Hill faculty where he will be heading up the Department of Celtic Studies. Cat's determined his charm and good looks wouldn't get to her again. She'd already given up her heart to him once. And when a better opportunity came along, although he'd invited her along, Rory certainly hadn't asked her to marry him. And he'd been clear how he felt about children. Rory was disappointed to see his old flame Caitlyn didn't accept the invitation he'd personality made certain she received. Seven years was a long time to be unable to get a auburn headed beauty out of his heart. When he sees the photograph on Cat's desk, he immediately recognizes himself in the six-year-old child. Stunned to find himself a father, Rory's determined to insinuate himself back in Cat's life, as well as comfortably settling himself in his daughter Tory's life as well. Soon Rory asked Cat to marry him, not for love, but for their daughter's sake. Sullivan's Child is a lovely, entertaining story that goes straight to the heart. The miscommunications, or failures to communicate will bring a smile to romance lovers. With a flair and a style unique among genre romance, Link delivers an intriguing romance that shouldn't be missed by romance lovers.
